Autox, DE's, and driving schools will enable you to drive faster then any # of mods ever will....on any car. Mod the driver...it doesn't depreciate.

Isn't ProForm the name of a bra? Bras are ugly on cars. NOW worry about the redline.

You're not going to be making too many friends around here with that type of tone.

OBVIOUSLY you're still young, otherwise you wouldn't ASSume so many things about other drivers. You ask a question loaded with answers full of witty sarcasm, what did you expect? It's like a person going to a restraunt and asking how to get more fat...

haha, the dealer told him about chipping the car to move the redline to 14k? I doubt that ever happened, but, did the dealer still cover the warranty?

And, from the sounds of it, you're a child, and the advice of learning how to drive fast still stands. Then at least you won't drive as stupid as you sound.

1. the reason you get attitude is because you ask such a broad question where the answers lie abundantly throughout this site. you don't even have to search hard to find answers.
2. the fact that you replied the way you did makes YOU seem like you are fat and live in your mother's basement because you spent all your money on your car.
3. i don't know ONE PERSON on this board that changed chips to magically raise the redline. not sure what you heard on the civic forums, but that's not how it works in the real world.
4. no one uses radar / laser detectors anymore
5. welcome :D

I still do?

For the most part man, Mugatu is right. You should have searched as there is a wealth of information, a good portion of which should be on the first page of this performance forum. But seriously, take BlueEyes' and Crossbow's advice and sign up for a performance driving school. I can't say first hand how much it helps(I'll be taking a course in the Spring) but from everything I hear it is a bigger improvement than anything performace-wise and you'll be a more competent and safer driver to boot.

Actually i did that once on a canal barge and it worked great.

We literally doubled the speed of the barge by removing a blocker on the throttle throw.

Unfortunately, my friend was then arrested for "barge speeding" and had to go to court and pay a big fine. Apparently the wake had knocked a guy off his boat! hahahahaha

(PS Barge speed limit was 7 knots, and they were 'clocked' at 14! (no laser defences hoho)

You can do that in golf carts too. They're actually pretty peppy!

jeremylaski, what would you rate yourself as a driver out of 10? 10 being high, 1 low.

How do you do this? I think that would be absolutely hysterical to drive around the golf course at like 25 mph ripping around the green :D It also might be a bit hazardous and/or illegal though. :p

I'm probably about a 4 at best. I like to think I'm a good driver, but then I watch other people drive either my car or their car(mostly my eldest brother) and I am not comparable. Not to mention watching professional drivers race. It makes me want to weep most of the time. :D

The golf carts we had used a spring on the throttle that wouldn't let it open up past a certain point. We removed it. It was pretty entertaining.
