How to get the most horse for the money
#51
If you are talking Nitrous, get the Zex kit or I think NoZxpress works too, basically any NO2 kit works AS LONG AS IT IS A WET KIT WITH THE RIGHT SIZE SHOT!!
dont ever ever go above 55 on a stock engine or you risk pingping, and possibly blowing ur seal
just a thought

The concensus seems to be you can run a total of about 75 hp over stock without fuel management... Whether that is a 55 shot with a boatload of other mods (intake, exhaust, etc), or a 75 shot on a stock car, you should be fine. Assuming the car is starting in tip-top shape (no ping, no misfires, etc).

I go to a ranch in the middle of the night and take a baseball bat to the horse's knee...
The following day...the farmer will let you have most of the horse bits after its been shot for pretty cheap...
See...I AM useful...you pack of ingrates...heh

Well my 8 is pretty quick N/A and I would recommend the following if you only have $1200
Racing beat duct
Racing beat flash
cat delete pipe (with resonator) or a good 2nd hand catback system
K&N drop in air filter + take out the 2 mesh screens in the intake
Agency power underdrive pulley
premix at 200:1 or more
That will make a noticable difference - just don't take on any STIs or EVOs

Well, I removed one of the mesh screens, is it save to remove both?? Also, howd you guys do it, I had a hell of a time, I kinda had to forcefully take the one out using a screwdriver, wasnt pretty!

i would start with one, check the idle and throttle response and stuff, then if that is ok, then try the other one, if the idle and other stuff is ok, then you just freed up 2 hp, just make sure you have a good air filter, and the racing beat intake duct would be good too

ive got a K & N, my car idles just as rough as it did before But how did you take them out?? I literally ripped the one out, theres still mesh around some of the edges which makes me nervous because I dont want pieces of screen getting sucked into my engine, lol. The other screen will catch them but if I take that one out I want to make sure theyre both completely out, so whats the easiest screwdriver free way to go about this?

hmmm - I had no problem . Did you remove the plastic horn from the intake ?
#70
#73
No I didnt remove the horn, I just took my filter out and felt around and found it, they forcefully ripped that bitch out!! haha. So Im taking it I should of taken the horn out first?! If so, brief me on how to do it so I dont screw anything else up!! PM me if its really long so I dont take advantage of this worthless thread anymore for my own gain!!

Three screws around the horn...you need to remove those...
But in retrospect...you should have at least kept a single screen...and not destroyed it...
In order to replace it...you will need to purchase a new airbox from the dealer...
self-pWnage at its finest...
