How much are gauges and install for aftermarket?
How much/where do I buy gauges / kit to install them into an rx8?
I'm trying to turbo the car, would need in the likelihood about 5 gauges.
Thanks.
Hit me with some answers.
Also, What is the best place to buy replacement bushings for all of the necessary places @ 70k miles and I'm probably going to switch to coilovers.
Is a pinion snubber recommended on these cars? Which one?
thanks again.

Those are not simple questions.
The closest I can come is suggesting an ultra-Gauge for most of the gauges. It takes care of what the ECU knows about. After that, start reading man, and welcome to the club.

i have prosport gauges. oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp in a racing beat ashtray panel. i have fuel pressure gauge in a vent pod made by blockhead8. he makes double pods too. i also have a cobb
i would recommend these gauges along with a boost, afr, and maybe an exhaust temp gauge in a lotek pod.

i would say you should read through a lot of the turbo threads before you jump into this. check out 9krpm turbo build thread. he changed a lot over the years but he did it right. tons on info from a guy that knows what hes talking about

How do you install the ultra-gauge? I've searched the entire board and can't find a thread on it. Any information would be very helpful as I would like to purchase one, but although I'm excellent in fixing, and replacing engine parts, I'm not great with the electronic system. Thanks everyone.

What he said.
The connector is below the steering wheel. I think I bent the bracket a bit to make it invisible. Run the wire over to the left, tuck it under the gasket for the door. That will hid it all the way up until it comes on over the side defroster vent. Then stick it to the windshield.
I posted a DIY a bit back on making a bracket to attach it to the defroster vent.
Then follow the directions. It needs to get hooked up to the engine computer. If the battery dies, or is changed, you just go through the process again (turn on key, wait for it to sync, start car). If you just start the car, it will start, but the gauge will keep scanning and the compute will get pissed at the dash. Car will still run fine though.
I would do this, then add gauges as necessary for the turbo (oil pressure, temp, intake pressure, ++)
