installing gauges

is this a relatively easy modification? and is it essentially universal, found a bunch of diy's but none specifically for my vehicle. Doing boost and AFR on a WRX so not an RX-8 i know but still a little guidance maybe?

Vacuum gauge on a WRX would need a 'tee' fitting in the line to your blow-off valve on the intercooler. O2 ratio would need a new bung in the downpipe, or use the existing O2 sensor hole underneath.

haha, ya their DIYs and people aren't as awesome as here...and frankly i trust you people more with mechanical knowledge.

thanks stealth i'll take a look at that, and maybe i ought to get the service manual, before i start drilling holes in my firewall lol

no way their lounge is a much fun as ours. That's what keeps you coming back, isn't it...
I think Stealth nailed in the head but once you get that done, the rest is pretty standard. Just find a way to run the wires, make sure you've got good grounding points on any sending units and you should be good to go.

Where are you mounting the gauges? I haven't sat in a WRX in forever so I need pix.

As for the owners manual: can you DL it from subaru's website? If not, I'm sure SOMEONE'S got it floating around their forums. (at least I would hope so)

yeah the manual should be easy...im getting a cluster that mounts 2 guages on the steering column from perrin performance...looks pretty awesome in theory. Just trying to figure out how much in total the project's gonna run me.

I figure since i plan oninstalling a cobb with some sort of moderate stage 1 tune which nets about 60hp and 75lbs of torque i might as well be able to see some of those differences so gauges it is.
