If the intake causes the problem in which you take the car to the dealer for then it is possible they won't fix the problem without $$. I installed an intake and did not notice much of a power increase. But it sounds sweet !

I heard that intakes will randomly cause certain cars to implode.

if engine explode due to aftermarket intake, remove aftermarket intake, put stock intake back on. nobody knows the difference.

when you upgrade parts it only voids that part of the warranty. They have to be able to prove that your intake blew up your engine or broke your spring.

If you are at low altitudes the CanZoomer kit would give you nice gains.
