Intake
#7
I did not want to wait for the RB intake, so I installed the SR and it rocks! :p Here is the thread:

If the RB is better, I'll most likely sell the SR and go for it, but for now I'm getting to like my SR everyday I drive the car more and more.

I have said in the past that I experienced gains over 4k rpm's but I now see gains across the rpm range like Nemesis8 does. The RE is a bit loud but that's the price for performance. Plus, it looks cool when I open the hood. Very clean and simple aluminum lid gracing the engine bay. CEL problems? Hell yeah. My light has never shut off and it runs great.

I have not had a CEL light yet since I installed the SR. I'm really liking this intake. Last night at our monthly Puget Sound RX7 (and now RX7/RX8) club meeting, everyone commented on how the quality of it looked in the engine bay. Made me feel all rotary inside :D

I have yet to dyno the car. I'm not sure if I am much interested in it until I need to do some ECU tuning. A new EMS will be the last thing I get as I want to see where the market takes us. I would have liked the SR intake but it was a bit too costly. One thing about the SR; it looks like it might accept a nitrous nozzle rather well.

Hey zoom, I checked on your http://www.rpnw.org/ site and it rocks compared to what is happening here in Oly! I'm tempted to drop down there. Lets see...
Start: Olympia, Washington, United States
End: Portland, Oregon, United States
Total Distance: 114.3 Miles
Estimated Total Time: 1 hour, 58 minutes
...that's according to MSN Maps & Directions, but we all know what the I-5 corridor is all about :D
Have you been to Atkins Rotary? I have not made the trip yet - just too busy I guess.

I'll keep an eye out for functions on your calendar of events - I would love to see some more rotaries. As for the June issue - I'm looking for it tonight. Thanks
By the way, getting back to the thread - sorry, I have now had the SR on the 8 for awhile, and it is performing sweet.
