Well, i'm having trouble deciding between the RB w duct, or the AEM. I'm gonna be honest, whichever produces more power is the one i'm getting. I could be saving a little money, unless someone knows a site where i can get the RB set a good idea. Anyone wanna help? Seems as though this thread died off 7-31-06, now there's a new concern, hah. In which, i'm only asking for advice/help.

I would estimate that your going to see the same numbers from AEM and from the RB w/air duct. The AEM is more susceptible to the elements, given the filter is sitting low in the front bumper. You should keep your eyes on the For Sale section, as I expect there to be a lot of used intakes available once people start picking up the RP supercharger.

only tested/dyno'd, designed for MT's.....Racing Beat for one said that their design will work for AT, but they wouldn't be able to post dyno results.....so, any intake will work.

i was thinking about getting rid of my simota intake and getting either
RB revi with duct, AEM(design looks a little cheap for me, never liked their intakes), or K&N type 2.
Personal opinion from anyone who has experience with any of these intakes, which would you suggest? Most hp gains if any, and which would have better resale value in the future? Basically looking for the best buy

So conclusions....if I was going for sound and price, I would buy the K/N...and add the RB air duct. If I wanted stock looks, with a more subtle sound, I would go with the RB w/duct. Depends on what sound you want really (as well as if your interested in having to switch the stock intake back on for emissions testing)...performance is going to be about the same.

I had a question regarding the install of the RB Revi and Air duct.
I know that the stock air box has to be taken off, my concern is where did you fasten the wires and the round thing (sorry dont know what it is) that are secured to the back of the stock air box? Also do you have to also remove the plastic tray that is underneath the stock air box? When i installed my Agency Pulley I noticed that there is a small line that is attached to the tray, a metal piping that is secured to the tray and rubber hoses attached to it. If removal of the tray is required where should it be secured to.
Thanks in advance.

the RB kit comes with very clear and comprehensive instructions. Yes, you will be removing the tray, as the new RB intake attaches in the same location. All unusued wires (mainly the green V-fad wire) are ziptied, and suggestions for where to tie these is in the directions as well.

I, too, am in the market for an intake. Haven't heard much about SR Motorsports intake- it looks pretty nice, or that IRC intake they offer as well. So far I'm leaning to RB w/duct, but I'm a fan of the "tuner" look I guess you could say, so that's the only reason it doesn't appeal to me. I'm thinking SR or AEM.....

saw the SR motorsports unit...old technology. It was one of the first intakes out there for the 8, along with K/N first version intake. It was loud. Didn't think they made it anymore.
