15 Pages...All have something to do with an intake.

Not to be mean or anything. But when you join a forum, you should always search before you ask a question that has been asked over a hundred times already.

And Intakes just sound nice. If you get horsepower gains...it is very minimal...maybe 1-3 more hp. Popular ones among the RX-8 are. Racing Beat, MazdaSpeed CAI, AEM CAI, and K&N.

So i hope you learned, that before you ever make a new thread to ask a question you have, SEARCH!!

It's not 1-3 hp, it's about 6-9 hp but it's on the top end. An intake does not change the dynamics of an engine, it just amplifies it a bit. Since our engines make their power on the top end, the most gains from normally aspirated modifications are the same thing, on the top end.

Take a look at last months D Sport where the RB intake gave 7 hp & 2 ft.lbs. of tq (thread on this). Take a look at the RX Tuner article done by the poster Polak where the flywheel, and RB intake (no ram air duct) put out 10 whp (dyno in the magazine). Look at RB's own statement that the intake (with no ram air duct) puts out 6 whp at the top end.

Had another poster when he first got the AEM CAI put out 8 whp.
