Intake suggestions?
Hey, just got a brand new Rx8. 2004. Well basicly brand new, 8000 miles on it, apparently it was never used. anyways, the first thing i want to do to it is put on a short ram intake for around 200-300$ any suggestions? would i need any other parts to replace anything for a new intake?
Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Do not use a short ram intake. The short ram design draws in hot engine air which reduces performance. You'll simply end up with an expensive noise maker.
There is nothing wrong with the stock intake as it flows plenty of air. If anything get yourself a drop in filter like a green filter or a K&N and call it a day.
The only two worthwhile intakes are the AEM and the Racing Beat intake. Anything else is garbage.

Look through the DIY section here and find the "DIY - Better flowing intake" thread and follow it. Save your money for something else.

short ram intakes are not a good idea
I've used both the AEM and the Racing Beat Intake (+duct) and you simply can't go wrong with either one.
the RB is a bit more 'stealth' looking.
