well i have the umnitza and i loved how it felt/ sounded. looks great too i'm sure you'll get alot or people to say to go with Racing Beat. i've heard its pretty quiet and it seems like a really good design. lots of people are going for the AEM as well but you'll just have to search around and see what people say.

Generally, the Racing Beat Intake (along with Ram Air Duct), HKS Suction Kit have gotten good reviews. The 1st generation K&N unit was widely vilified, and the 2nd one is supposed to be much better.

i've had both RB (with ram duct) and the AEM and after having the AEM for a few months i would say the AEM is better also.

P.S. I was able to get 25.7mpg with the AEM. best i got with RB was 24mpg. stock was 23mpg.

Decent unit but nowhere near the hp gains they claim and $$$. Nemesis did an extensive DIY on it.

I just bought a brand new AEM Cold Air Intake on eBay for only $117(including shipping). Waiting for it's arrival. As far as I can see, that gets my bang-for-the buck vote, even if the HP gain is only 1, which it's not.

I say keep the factory air box, take out the first screen and remove the sound baffles, then get a ram air from racing beat.

How

How do remove the screen and the sound baffles. I like the stock air box, but I could use a little more sound from it.

Thanks.

Your money folks. Many choices (and that is a good thing) so you can pick and choose your own. There is little hard evidence that one is better than the other except perhaps for the first gen K&N. If you could really get everyone on here to reply I suspect you would see most say they like what they have. "It sounds better then stock, idles better... etc."

I know that is the case with the RB REVi and Ram Air duct I use. It feels faster and more responsive to me but I am scientifically trained and I have no DATA to support this. So I default to saying confidently that it sound great and much better than stock.

Therefore, I am happy with the circa 5 bills they cost. You gotta make your own judgment and avoid asking what you should do. You only get crap intermingled with some bits of true wisdom on the net and on this site. (even though this forum seems better than most at 'moderating' the crap)

Yes, I am old and I preach. Get over it. Since I am old I don't care what you think.
