Just installed HKS Suction Kit Reloaded.

I was finally able to get this intake, and finally installed it.
Now, I have some questions.
Its my first time getitng an intake, and it didn't sound anything like how I imagined.
Like I hear the sucking sound alright, but it sounds like a whistle.
Is that normal? or is something wrong? I thought it would be a clear loud sucking sound.
I can tell that my exhaust sounds a lot better now, but my intake sounds like a whistle everytime I step on the pedal.
Can anyone help me? Thanks.

i have the K&N and it only seems to whistle at idle. once i get on the gas i dont hear anything but the intake sucking in the air. it could be also that my intake just overpowers the whistling which makes me unaware of it during normal driving.

Will this have more performance gains over the aem intake? Or is it the same?

i heard deedub's youtube as well. i know that it sounds really different from the actual sound and from the video, but yeah it does sound different. i can barely hear the air getting sucked in on my intake.

Curious -- I was going to post that my RB intake with Duct does not whistle. It is definitely louder but it is more of a rushing \ vibrating sound under heavy throttle.

Could there be a leak somewhere with any of the intakes that whistle or are we discussing whistles when we all have a different defintion of what it is???

yeah, thats common man. any time you switch to an open air intake the sounds you'll hear will probably be funny foreign sounding noises if dont hang out with people that put these performance modifications on their car, like imagine if you heard an open atmosphere release blow off valve for the first time on a boosted car...you'd probably cringe your face and wonder what hose came loose under the hood...theres likely no connection/clamp problem causing the sound, these parts dont misfit easily because they're well made and that droning vacuum or whistling sound probably wont go away.
