Just Installed RB Exhaust....WOW !
I just had a RB Exhaust, RB Springs, RB Sway Bars (w/front endlinks), RB Spark Plug Wires, Mazda Speed Front Tower Strut Bar, & Stainless Steel Brakelines installed on my RX8 this weekend.
All I can say about the new exhaust is WOW I am really impressed with it. It sounds so much better than the stock exhaust. On idle or highway it is very similar to stock, but with acceleration 3000+ RPM it is just much more intense. It is a louder throatier growl. It is exaclty what I had wanted, low sound during freeway cruising & around town driving, but really aggressive during acceleration & hard driving. My friend said it was the "meanest" exhaust he had ever heard. I am really glad I made the decision to get the aftermarket exhaust, it really sets my car off that much better. My mechanic said it was very easy to install. Said the hangers, rings & bolts all were in the proper place and exhaust was perfectly fitted for the car.
I will wait for the RB intake, and probably do a hi-flow cat setup. Debating Canzoomer ECU.
My suspension review is the other section.

Good luck, I think you will really like it. I was in my car tonight and was just thinking how great it sounds. I will be getting a hi-flow cat unit, and I am kind've worried (after what some of the people on the board have experienced) that it might ruin the sound.

I just installed my RB exhaust last night....Awesome. You can install by yourself, but an extra set of hands wouldn't hurt. I suggest using needle nose pliers to help with the removal of the rubber gromets. You can also remove the stock exhaust by only removing the driver side plastic bumper cover. I'm 6'1" and 240 lbs. with only two jack stands I was able to get under the car with plenty of room. It took much longer to get the stock unit out than to install the RB. It sounds good now, but I can't wait until it breaks in.

What king of warranty, against corrosion, does RB offer. Living through winters, salt and snow in Chicago is why I'm asking. I haven't had any problems with stock exhausts in the past, just curious with aftermarket.

Just had my RB exhaust installed last night (after a month or so of stalling on my part... damn inertia). Needless to say, I love it. The sound is perfect, same with the dBs... As for looks, it fills out the back of the car very well, the exhaust cowls don't look like they're dwarfing the tips like they do on the stock exhaust.
All in all, I love it. Now I just have to save money so I can do more stuff to the car. <eg>

rb is hard to beat, easy to install and looks great. really helps fill out the rear in. (ok i know that could go somewhere but i won't) The sound does get better . had mine about 4-5 mos now. I also like the color the tips get. I'm afraid that you will not like the sound if you put a highflow cat and midpipe(even with a resonator) on. It is usually to loud for most. I have heard placeing a small single muffler on the midpipe to help. The exhaust restriction is in the cat. You actully get a few more horses by putting on a high flow cat and midpipe with the stock cat back system. Me I rather have the sound than 3-4 more horsepower

What color would that be?
Do you mean it starts to slightly bronze out (from chome to a slight yellowish platinum) like a good little exhaust should when it's all growed up?
I had a Magnaflow catback on my Jetta that did this, I really liked the effect...
