Just wondering is this true.

The 20B engine was produced for the Japanese spec Eunos or Mazda Cosmo. The cosmo came in 2 specs, 13b TT and 20B TT.
The 20B is effectively a 13B with a extra rotor. People have built there own 20B's from 13B parts. All you need is the 20B eccentric shaft and 13B parts. If you are familiar with rotary engines you will realise how easy it is to build a 20B if you have the correct eccentric shaft. If you are in Canada, there are a few good rotary places in Burnaby B.C, and a fellow in White Rock that knows what he is doing. Are you planning on installing a 20B in your vehicle, or are you just becoming knowledgable???

I found this on a websearch, just wondering if this is true. For anyone who thinks i'm stupid, well i'm trying to learn right now. Money is not a problem, how long is it gonna take me, I don't care. Knowing what to do is. I'm trying to learn about the 20b (just started tonight) because I would like to build my own. I'm looking to buy an FD, or I might want to have it put into the 8. I seen a few threads on people doing this themselves on this forum, so wondering if anyone can help. Why i'm doing this, because I would rather do all my mods to learn my car, that's how much I love my car. when someone ask I could always say I did all the work

For the most part you need 1 1/2 13B's, a 20B eccentric shaft, 20B front and rear counterweights, 20B front intermediate housing, 20B tension bolts, and a few misc things. Theoretically you could make a 20B this way. However the 13B and 20B engines in the Cosmo had different sized intake runners than the 13B-REW here so you'd have to do some work there. The best thing to do would be to find a 20B somewhere and only replace what needs it rather than trying to piece one together.

Best bet...

Your best bet is to contact an imprter from Alberta (no provincial sales tax)
"Importconcern" brings them in from Japan complete- computer, wiring, turbos etc. "Affordable Luxury Cars" also does lots of rotary business. There is a fine rotary guy in Calgary "RX-7 Specialties" that can do the swap, wouldn't be his first.

that's about as good as it gets, you won't be piecing one together for less than that unless you happen to luck across some kind of rare deal

RG is right. You would be better off sourcing a complete 20B. The 20b's front intermediate house is DIFFERENT than the intermediate housing of the 13b! This is one of the major problems in trying to build 3 and 4 rotor engines from 13b parts.

The complete 20b package should get you an ECU + 2 turbos + intake manifold and headers, all of which will make things much easier.
