K&N Typhoon Intake Question

Another suggestion is to do what I and a number of others have - install the Racing Beat Duct and mate it to the stock airbox (with a K&N flat filter). You have to remove the VFAD, which is a good thing. About $135 for just the duct and ~$50 for the filter element. This way you get ambient cold air intake and a bit of a ram effect at speed.

agreed, i was planning on using that set-up as well, until i just decided to go with the full RB set-up. loved it eversince..only isssue is the duct and the intake dont exactly match up, leaving a little gap, but im not too worried...

The solution to that (thanks again to Brettus for the inspiration) is to cut a short section of your VFAD to bridge the gap - mates perfectly. I ran for awhile with the gap and no worries tho'.
