my friend has an FD and is thinking bout uping compresion during a rebuild and asked me if using Renesis rotors was an option. and i have no clue. i was thinking that by removing side seals it could be possible. lemme know if its possible

Side seals on a rotor have the same effect as a piston ring on a piston .
So if you remove them you will have no compression at all.
Renisis to my knowledge has but one side seal ,,
unlike the early 12A's which had 2. went to single side seal in 1974.
So am I confused as to what you are trying to do ?

Just tell him to go with s5 n/a rotors. They are 9.7:1 compression and will be much easier.
