I'm having my clutch/flywheel installed for $300 as well (in Cali). I've been going to this mechanic (Roadster Tuner) since I started tinkering with my race-spec Miata. He's done plenty of NA, NB, and now NC Roadsters (which share similar transmissions as the RX8).

If you guys are looking for a good reputable guy installing flywheels, I would try him out.
