hmm.. i dunno.. if something better comes out.. like a nice looking and performing rx-7 then i wont mind trading in.. or even if a nice looking supra or skyline within a reasonable price range..

im not willing to spend close to 10K cnd to get 300+ whp.. and then further degrade my gas mileage...

so yea... all show it is then!! lol..

I'm curious... would an FD RX-7 with 300 hp consume just as much fuel?

cause who cars bout mileage if you get more power anyways??

Depends if I can go 2 years without seriously modding my 8. If so, then I think I'm going with an FD. I've wanted one since I was a wee lad of 12.

I just got my car last october and just now paid it off... and seeing as how I have the extended warrenty on it... I should have it for 100K at least.

I've been thinking the same thing lately, in about 6 months I'd love to put a few goodies in the car like an ACT Clutch, Racing beat Exaust, and an aluminum flywheel.

Hymee's supercharging system is looking promising, but for $10,000 dollars to get that install it, tune it, etc... to put it into perspective thats ~5% i could put towards my next car (Lambo Gallardo - hey i can dream right)

It's way to early to be thinking of such things like getting rid of the 8 when I just got it. I just know if I had the choice between dropping 10K for a mod or putting it towards a new car I would have to say I'd put it towards a new car.

Well, short of doing a custom job on the 4 port, I'm going to be above 70k miles well before anything comes out (and that's probably being optimistic). I don't know if it's worth stressing the engine at that point. Particularly when I could just get a Solstice GXP/ Sky Redline next year with a factory turbo, 260hp/260lb-ft engine and mod that. Turns out that 4 seats are nice to have but not absolutely necessary, and I've always wanted a roadster . We'll see. The only thing that would stop me is that I'd like to be debt free upon my exit from the military, and keeping the 8 puts me there.

So I'd like to "major hp mod" it, but alas, it may not be feasible.

yea thats an interesting question... but as i said.. if a new 7 or 'FE' looks better performs better..with the newer technologies.. i could spend that extra 10K towards a car that does all that and with factory warranty.. right?

same goes for the supra skyline...
