MazdaSpeed.. Canada? Why does Mazda hate us?
Ok,
I've done the search and have made some phone calls, but nobody can answer this very very simple question! And Mazda Canada doesn't sell rx8 mazdaspeed stuff so they're acting totally clueless So here it goes
If I buy a Mazdaspeed rear bumper, which I think is called the "rear diffuser", can that fully replace the stock rear bumper? I have to replace the entire rear bumper but want a mazdaspeed rear.. All I need is a simple one worded answer of "yes" or "no"

if you get some of the Mazdaspeed replica kits, they completly replace the back bumper....ive heard that some of the aftermarket kits are urethane and have a pretty close fit.
I think you could find a used bumper and get the MS diffuser for close to the same cost of getting a new stock rear bumper and having it painted/installed.

But she still hit me and there is damage to the plasticy part of the lower bumper(she's paying. It looks like the mazdaspeed rear piece will replace the part of the bumper which is actually damaged. So I think I may have to order it from one of the forum vendors..
Hey does anyone know if this piece will actually fit inside my car?? I may just drive down to niagra and go find a mazda dealer and drive it up.. (I hate paying UPS's duty charges and all that other crap)

^I can't see why not. Just fold the passenger seat all the way back and you shouldn't have a problem. Another way is to take the centre pass-through out (pull straight up) and see if it might fit through the hole.^

A couple of the Toronto dealers are willing to offer discounts on these parts. We are in Newmarket. also Scarboro Mazda will give a 25% discount . We built the yellow rx8 targa car for Mazda Canada last year using the Speed body kit. I can tell you the parts are top quality. the frt bumber has been though hell and its still in one piece. We have experience with Auto Exec kits and they would have been totally wrecked under the same conditions.
