Mazdaspeed dual muffler exhaust - Wow!

I just got the MS dual muffler exhaust installed on my RX-8. Wow! I love its sound, it really made the car come alive. The more I drive the sounds gets even better. I got it from a local Mazda dealership for $500. I had them installed it for $130. If anyone near Houston area needs a good Mazda dealership reference, go to Gullo Mazda in Conroe and talk to James. He is really nice and matches prices from other Mazda dealerships.

Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that MS really did a good job on this exhaust. Go MS!

I have to concur on this mod. Next to the AFE Short Shifter it is #1 for happy value in my book.

If you want the alive sound, but not the loudness of a borla, or the quiet of the RB, this is the perfect middle of the road exhaust...

Yeah, but what about performance gains.

Are you paying $500 for some more sound?

It's more or less the same for every car you put a muffler on. Unless the muffler is more restictive then factory.
You never really see a much if any gain till you get the full pipe done. If you planning to do some sort of FI later on you'd be better off have an un corked exhaust to do it with.

I personaly hate how the car sounds stock. It doesnt sound like it has any ***** till around 5k RPm's.
Hell my A/C fan can drown out the sound of my car right now.

I't almost the same as asking people why they spend 300 to 2,000$ on a stero system. So other people can hear you?

Same goes for Rims, springs, ect ect.. All a total waste of money if you look at it that way. How many people with those things really run a road course?

I'm a man and I like my cars to make noise.
