Mazdaspeed flywheel install with pics...

Lighter flywheel has less weight on it to spin what normally had alot of energy/momentum in the heavier flywheel..thus, loss of "torque." That is my basic understanding on this...

ok here goes my first post. and i am starting with a question,
starting the mod with air filterand exhaust, i am thinking to go to flywheel next. BUT! since here in greece there are 2 versions of RX-8, one with full power (240 hp) and one with 192 hp, does anybody knows if the mazdaspeed flywheel will fit into the "smaller" hp engine?
do you know if the 2 versions of rx8 wear the same size of stock flywheel?

Flywheel
Why will you go out and spend money and time, and loose torque, Instead of gaining it doesn't make sense. All cars have flywheels by the way, That's the connection between the engine and the transmission

today i installed some goodies on my 06 rx-8 and i was asking my mechanic if he had previously installed a mazdaspeed flywhell on a 5MT/192Hp, and he said yes.
if you take the flywheell of a 240hp/6MT you can adapt it to mine and then istall the flywheel. had anyone else heard that or he is trying to rip my money?

better go for some suspension mods (sways) or some lighter 18inch rims with new tires than the sucky bridgestones... or even better some light 17" rims...
change the flywheel when you drop the tranny for a new clutch, you'll need one sooner or later...
