Hey guys, i just got a 2007 rx8. My question is i got a 5 year 60,000 mile warrenty on it, and i want to put aftermarket parts on it, in doing so would anything done to the engine that isnt "MazdaSpeed" void the warrenty? Also are the mazdaspeed parts even worth buying. I know for the rx8 they have a flywheel, exhaust and intake.

only way they can void the warranty is if the aftermarket part causes a problem. so no it wont void warranty. also mazdaspeed has a lot more parts like brakes, suspension, bodykit, etc. just search around the forum you will find tons of threads about mazdaspeed parts and experiences.

 

No, do not, I repeat, do NOT trust whatever BS the dealership gives you. they CAN NOT void your warranty just because you have a aftermarket parts in your car.

If they want to void it, sure, just tell them straight up in their face that, go ahead and try, lawsuit on the way against you(point at the dealership guys) and Mazda.

Some Mazdaspeed parts are worth buying, say, Flywheel and Strut Bar.

It might not be the best performing part, but Im pretty sure they have top notch quality.

I have every MS suspension and Performance mod and I like it. I could of probably spent a little less on other name brands but at least I know these parts were made to work together. Specifically the suspension parts. My dealer has yet to give grief regarding them. All he did say is that if that specific part fails it won't be covered under the new vehicle warranty, which I know.
