I reserve judgement until I actually try it out. But in general with a short shifter you still have to wait on the synchros to do their jobs. Or you can force them and actually shift slower. I think a different shift **** would be enough for most..

anyone actually heard anythign back about the short throw shifters by mazdaspeed and renesis racing? I wouldn't mind having one but i'm not going to get one just to have it be a hunk of crap.

Well, I'm holding my breath on the Renesis Racing one. The picture is of a 2nd gen RX-7 shifter and bushings. If they can't even manage to produce a photo of the actual unit they are selling for the RX-8, then how high can your expectations be of their actual product and service?

Well just got word that mine is on its way and should be here next week, Monday or Tuesday; along with my MS clutch line and MS Sub-Frame Braces...

i had a 92 talon and that had a short shift. but they made the nobb long like a joy stick or something. it was cool though because the arm rest was so high that all the action had to be in the wrist. yous guys rock!
