If you sit at idle for 2-3 mins or so the first fan should come on in that time . If you have a scan tool you will know at what temp that happens (98C from memory) . To get the 2nd fan to come on is a bit trickier as you need to overwhelm the heat dissapation ability of the first fan . Giving it s**t on a hot day should achieve that

I have RB flash so it should kick on around 87c, same time when the thermostat open. but for some reason I dont see any ... if I push the car a bit, say, idle @ about 2500 rpm, then some fan will turn on around 90 something C.
Dont know, maybe I should take the battery box away and see if Fan 1 is broken or something.

In regards to the Koyo I am going back to the stock. Cam had also installed the Koyo his car started running hotter than with the stock. He ordered another Koyo and swapped it out. Same results as soon as he put his stock radiator back on the car started running cooler. As soon as I can I will be putting my stock radiator back in.

I just went out, produce tons of green house gas for nearly nothing (idle), but it was too cool outside so I used a little help, idle @ 3K rpm (like bleeding the coolant system rpm) with Heater on High @ level 4.
Finally coolant pushed up to around 90c (according to my gauge, could be higher in real life) Fan turned on.
so its not really the fan ... oh btw I changed the Radiator cap back to ARC 1.3 this morning.

I dont know.
The Sensor for my water temp gauge should be higher, I forgot where the ECU get its water temp from but mine is just *Right* from the upper water hose, between the Engine itself and water Jacket. so the temp Im seeing should be higher than what the ECU is seeing, maybe that explains why it says 90 before the fan 1 kicks on ?

I have heard the same thing... To add, Cam of Pettit is going to be contacting the Koyo group to ask and express the concerns of what appears to be poor cooling. As of now I guess teh Stock Rad is the way to stay...

The stupid Greddy Adapter still leaks oil, I reinstall it today 100% Im sure I got it right, but it still freaking leaks. I even changed the oil filter. nothing, still leaks. I might have to look into RB's oil adapter. Is there anybody out there have a leaking problem with RB's adapter ?

yeah, mine has a slow leak. Nothing major, but my garage floor doesn't appreciate it. I'll be redoing all the connections when I get the greddy oil filter relocation kit in. This will also allow me to have much easier access to the RB oil sandwich ... or worse case, put a towel under it
The Greddy adapter sandwich came with 2 oil ring. First I used 2, it had a slow leak, so I was like hmm I probably should use 1. Took it out, wipe it clean, install it back with only 1 ring (the smaller one, about the same size as the oil filter itself), test drive. Holy crap. it leaks even more ! So I install it back with 2 rings AND a new oil filter. back to small leaks.
*sigh*
Why it leaks, why ~~~~
Oh forgot to report back the pump.
After I *flush* my coolant once again, the water temp sits between 81-98. Oil temp 75-98.
So the result ? definitively lower oil temp than stock pump. Water temp not 100% sure.
now I wonder, if I change it back to stock radiator or Denso, will my water temp go lower ? Cuz other people said Koyo *increase* water temp. maybe due to bad design ? I dont know. New stock rad 303 bucks. Denso about 260 bux

so are you putting two orings on the same side of the sandwich plate? i could be wrong but i am guessing that isnt right... you should have one on each side (i woudl assume)... as for your water temps... you have a lot of variables in your system to try and determine what is the problem... i noticed with other turbo car that when i added water wetter i had some strange spiking going on also.... so i would test and see if that could add to the problem

You should look into the Mazda Motorsports radiator for $600. It's what they sell to the guys who really race their 8s so you know it's the best there is. It's made by AWR for the same price so you don't have to be a member... http://www.awrracing.com/store/produ...products_id=68

the oil filter side is perfectly secure, no oil leak, the leak came from the o rings.
If you have the Greddy sandwich you will know what Im talking about. maybe I will take a picture next time when I change my oil.
Hmm water spike when using water wetter ? ..... really ? ................ hmm
but hmm come to think of it, I think I really have these *water spike* thing after I added water wetter ......

600 is not a problem if I can keep it cool, but is it really cooler ? who has this radiator installed ? and is this a replica or ???
