I really want an exhaust for my rx8..i was thinking maybe a borla? what does everyone think?

i dont like how borla sounds , doesnt have a racey sound to it imo.

I just installed a Racing Beat Rev8.
Pretty quiet IMO. Different sound from stock with more low frequency at low RPM and a bit more sound overall at top end. No interior drone at Hyw speed but you can sure hear it during acceleration. I wouldn't want louder.

search the catbacks, look at there specs, listen to there soundclips. then get one you like. dont just get one because of other people saying theres is great, find the one you think is great.

I have the mazdaspeed dualcanister and its light and has a real aggressive roar to it.
since i have it you know its the best one out there. i dont **** around. period.

 

borla is one of the most popular ones out there.

rather than just considering exhaust note, also look for piping diameters.

just take off your exhaust, it'll sound like a Mustang Cobra.

Borla catback with any downpipe...i have the rp supercat...sounds meannnnn

 

stepped tubular straight headers. No cat, no muffler/resonator. That will make you deaf.

Or the Esplire exhaust with no cat is amazing loud. A friend of mine has it.

 

while you drive, scream out the window.

na, you can just takeoff the cat and muffler. hook up a small pipe to were the cat was and have it run out right under the front of the drivers side door. you may burn some paint off, but it would be so cool.
you would be cool.

yea, you should search. as swoop said good for what? you dont get jack except noise. do you like your noise loud or loud? theres enough info on this forum about catbacks, so you should know the answer.
