Mod suggestions on the 8... prices?
This is a question for the tuner enthusiasts...
My current mods are:
Borla Exhaust and Canzoomer Stage 1.1
I was wondering, i dont' want to do too much tinkering.. meaning i dont' want programs or chips that i would have to adjust and program. I want either, completely installed mod's or plug and play mods....
With the mod's that i have on the car now, what would you guys think is appropriate? What would you guys suggest for my future mod's???
thanks for your help!

Mod chip?? Eh... that's why i got the CZ stage 1.1
Anyways, i was looking into a CZ-Stage 2 with a Exhaust mid-pipe, Rnadom High FLow cat, Magnaflow resonator muffler...
Would this be Emissions legal for NYS? Also is it street legal?
Some advice would be appreciated... thank you!!

replacing your stock cat with a high performance one usually isn't street legal... there's sum laws about only being able to change a cat if its damaged or it's been several years....luckily, I doubt you'll have problems except for at emissions time...
I think your current thoughts about future mods might be the best for you given your wants / needs. I feel there aren't that many great bang for the buck mods out there besides what you already have but time will hopefully change that...
Juss curious, have you noticed any change in mpg with the exhaust and canzoomer ? Also, any dyno's or good estimates on how much whp your laying down with those mods?

dont get an intake IMHO. The stock intake is perfect and people have been having problems with the K&N intake. Something about how Mazda spent a long time getting all the intake senors and stuff to be perfect. ::shrugs:: who knows. I would start fixing the suspension, but if you want more power... stage 2 and a nice exhaust system sounds nice. Maybe a racingbeat or Borla?

Mikelikes2drive... jaehyun127 ahs already got a Borla (stated in the beginning).
jaehyun127, I haven't kept up too well with the threads in the CZ forum, but the last I read was something like Stage 2 isn't an easy plug and play solution... in that you need to monitor the a/f and whatnot to watchout for too lean a mixture. How it works out in the end.... we don't know yet, but it is sounding like Stage 2 is not for the weekend enthusiast... more for the serious experienced people. Besides, I'm doubting the high flow/ high temp cat mid-pipe and resonator will pass NY's emissions testing.
As far as intakes go... I'd stay away from K&N. Stick with RE, Blitz, HKS or the upcoming Racing Beat one. Maybe grounding wires, high capacity grounding spark plug wires.
Your next mod before all that should be a new flywheel. Check the thread on that... go MS or else get the lightest one you can find.

I've heard rave reviews about getting lighter flywheels. It's supposed to free up 8 - 10 whp. That's the rumor anyway. I think someone got the Mazdaspeed installed for ~1,000 USD. I think everyone who had it done will agree it is worth doing.

Japan8, i think your advice was the greatest... SOME CONFIRM... the stage 2 cz... you have to monitor it, and it IS NOT a plug and play mod like the cz stage 1.1? Is that correcT??
Also, K&N intakes had problems with the cz stage 1, but will the ROtary extreme intakes have problems with the cz stage 1? Does anyone know this?
