yup its on a small angle. had to be done like this. but the drivetrain is perfectly centered and thats what we were going by, the drivetrain. however if you look at the aftermarket one that some company makes for the rew swap (i forgot the company name that makes the motor mounts for the rew-rx8 trans swap) that motor mount angles the motor as well.

as for the people saying im a dick, it takes one to know one, if people werent such ******** in the first place i wouldnt be so sarcastic. however im very happy to discuss friendly what i have here. and weather people wanna talk crap or talk friendly at the end of the day im sleeping with a smile and can careless cause when i start up my 8... well when i start up my 8 and u start up yours, hands down theres no comparison. so thank you.

im hoping to have it all done & running before the end of october guys wooo!

and as for the guy who asked how much its runnning me, well ill tell you this much... its a ****** money pit. but then again ive gone to a few extremes when we break it down...

-transmission - i only went 93 on this cause i was AT to begin with so instead of spending 600 on a rx8 trans not nearly as strong as the rx7 one i immediately leaned towards the rx7 trans.
-i also decided to do fuel lines from tank to the motor.
-fully built motor by DJseven on rx7club
- motor mounts and trans mount and custom modifying the **** out of both my rx8 PPF and combining it with the rx7 PPF was far from cheap also.
-standalone michrotech LT-10 ecu

**** it adds up so fast lol

You can have your ****! I surely know only X7rotor who would willingly kneel in front of you to serve you a nice shlurp and blow... Just go ahead and finish your POS build so we can see you crash it straight on a wall! Schartz has a very outstanding build that yours would.

Why is it off center? Please don't say so you could fit the turbo next to the engine like that. The Engine should be centered in the car, not shifted to the Drivers Side like it clearly is in the pics.

Because it's off center you had to angle it to keep the stock shifter location and line up the Transmission Output and Differential Input, I wouldn't have done that, now the angle of the Trans and Diff are not lined up.
Yes there are the U Joints, which allow you to have that angle but...

Can you develop vibrations because of this? Yes
Can you end up destroying U-Joints because of this? Yes

Note: It doesn't look like the RX8 Performance mount makes the engine off center or put it on an angle. I've seen that mount in person but don't remember for sure.

So because I don't want to wait another year or so for a build to be complete I'm a **** sucker?
Your logic is fantastic. Must be the Hollister pants and tight shirts cutting off circulation to your head.

please read above! the drivetrain is perfectly centered. the angle was not put to fit the turbo. i would have happily chopped up the manifold if that was the case. rx8 performance mounts are on an angle too. there angle may not be as much as mine however the mounts are made for a different set up, these mounts were made BASED OFF OF THERES but is not the same obviously. me and my master welder and master tech studied photos from every angle of their motor mounts theres too i assure u is on an angle. the reason for this is cause of the room in engine bay for exhaust manifold and cause when that engine puts down power it turns to the right. ontop of that, yes we were focused on making the rx7 trans fit in a somewhat stock position. i still had to modify my cabin by a half an inch for the shifter but like i said, the diff, driveshaft, and trans are perfectly straight.
