my Mazsport CAI for GReddy turbo

so i received it in the mail today and proceeded to install it. couple things that need to be mentioned:

1. 2 allen bolts used for the MAF sensor were not supplied (no big deal, Scott gave me the sizes and i got them at a local hardware store)

2. no plug for the BOV recirc fitting. (no big deal again, picked up a rubber cap while at the hardware store)

3. the smaller t-bolt clamp supplied with the kit for the GReddy pipe was too small. i had to reuse the older GReddy hose clamp. (see picture, the bolt was all the way out and that was barely enough to fit around the GReddy coupling)

4. the machining/drilling of the holes for the MAF wasn't quite placed right. i'm unable to get the sensor to sit flush because the plug connector gets in the way (see picture)

5. the bolts for the MAF were a little bigger than the holes in the MAF, so i had to file them out.

so it wasn't just slapping the intake on. driving around finding the bolts and rubber cap, filing out the holes, etc. etc. still took more time then it should have. not totally thrilled that i had to drive around in the rain and waste gas. just a heads up for future CAI from Mazsport.

the CAI on the other hand works fantastically. my intake temps have nearly dropped about 80 degrees. the car feels a lot more responsive.

overall experience: 7/10

drop 80 degrees at idle you mean? Cause when the vehicle is moving, CAI or not, the temps should be similar.

There are no stand-offs for the MAF screws?!?

the quality is nice. just some minor things here and there that could be improved on. you pay for the convenience, i guess.

with the DIY, kinda like jeff's or mysql's 140$ in parts, but to replicate this one, with only one elbow and one less coupler, you can get the parts for about 100$. but some people may prefer to have the air filter down behind the intercooler

for me, making it myself which for me was actually more convenient than waiting till who knows when
