I got the coils from a reputable company that does business with a few vendors here on the site. I'm trying to figure out how to keep the crimp tight because they spread out once they are installed. I will still ziptie the boot on once I get the "click".

After reading Jeff’s (mazdamaniac) posts in the Corvette LS1 Ignition Coil Project https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/corvette-ls1-ignition-coil-project-137423/ I decided to pursue the same concept but instead of using GM LS2 coils I went with MSDs 8247.

This can be a noob question but is it possible to set the LS2 Coils with a NA RX8, keeping the original ECU. Or will I need a upgraded ECM. I'm planning to buy the Cobb but I want to avoid having it remapped after the LS2 coils are installed.
Right now I've asked pricing for the BHR Ignition Kit but as well will like to install the Cobb after upgrading the iginition.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

By using the proper coil terminal on the plug wires like BHR does with our Ignition System. Chickenwafer has a set of terminals waiting for him at my place should he decide to make the 40-minute drive.

2) You did? I didn't get a PM. The shipped price for the BHR Ignition System is $485 and it has a better warranty than you might expect. The Cobb and BHR kit work quite well together.

1) Thanks to MM's wiring harness, which has a patent-pending, it is and it requires NO dwell adjustments to the PCM.

Hey Charles, so your saying that the MM harness is only built in the BHR kit and it's not available separately like Fluid MotorSports is selling theirs ?
Has anyone compared the quality of these 2 harness ?
No doubt the BHR kit is awesome, but has anyone done this research ?

I don't seek to jack this thread any more than Juan has been kind enough to alllow but I would like to only add this;
The wires and construction practices of harnesses are but a minor part of the entire equation. Second-handers will never have the intimate knowledge necessary to assist those who have questions after they buy something, unlike those who actually conceived the idea in the first place. This is something to consider when buying anything. Would one feel more secure buying an actual HKS blow-off valve or a knock-off found on E-Bay? Since they did not put in the research time like BHR did, I am fairly confident that problems will result along a multitude of issues and we have darned-good reasons for doing things as we have.
What is even worse is that BHR is soon to offer the harnesses and plug wires separately and they will cost less than others out there already. They will also carry my usual unbeatable warranty. Even custom lengths for remote coil locations. I am already providing them to people............

Who do you think designed the system in the first place? And who do you think came along for the ride on the short bus.

I have yet to buy anything from Brice, but when the time comes I will weigh my options like I (and most people) do with everyone. So far Charles is in the lead with at least a (well spent) grand in purchases.

I don't care for shady & underhanded people just like the next man but as long as the business is legit & follwed by good & moral practices then personally I see no problem. I love competition & choices, it develops the market & engages the mind for new ideas.

The cheapskate option would be to buy a burnt out set of coils from someone here and make connectors out of them and tag on the D581 harness. Thats what I did...someone else did it before me though. Its plug and play. Then you can make your own mount for the coils. Took me a day to put it all together. I figure it would take anyone else with tools to do it in the same amount of time.
