My New Parts

First let me start with a little story. I took my car in about two weeks ago to the dealership to have the motor checked because it died on me while driving in I-75 to orlando from naples. They did a compression test and it came up low so they replaced the motor free of charge. While having the motor replaced I went ahead and upgraded to the exedy stage 1 clutch and mazdaspeed lightweight flywheel. I just got the car back today and boy is it a dream to drive. But... the dealership being the douche bags that they are went ahead and hit the back of my car and tried blaming me for it. Unfortunately being the inexperienced person that I am with a car i did not do the walk around with the guys at mazda so I had no proof that it did not come in like that because they did a walk around obviously afterwards on their own and they claimed that my car came in like that. So long story short after talking to the manager of the dealership they won't do anything and I my car is damaged. On a side note my car drives really nicely, the clutch engages almost immediately and the flywheel makes the car rev up much quicker, great clutch/flywheel combination.

First, name of the dealership.

Second, they HAVE TO proof that your car did came in like that with your signature on it.

Third, how bad was it.

Talk to MNAO

the dealership is Cory Fairbanks Mazda located in Longwood, Florida. They don't have my signature on it so I don't know if that helps me any because they never did it with me there they did it on their own, also the damage isn't horrible. It's got a large scratch and there was white paint all over it which i took off with some car polish. I don't really have any pics not that its horrible anyways, you guys might not find it that bad its just to me its bad because it's my car and i know everything thats on it and how well i take car of it. And yea easy, i learned that lesson now, i'm 19 and this is my first car so like I said i'm not that experienced but I know for a fact that I won't make that mistake again

if its some sort of white stuff it means they probably got that when they try to back up or whatever and *touches* the wall of something.

Damn if I were u, Im going to raise some hell @ the dealership. Cuz their *checklist* dont have my signature, so its their fault. They fix it, or I sue them @ small claims court, they will lose for sure.

No rumor, the stock clutch is an Exedy clutch (you can clearly see the name "Exedy" on the clutch disc), but the Stage 1 Exedy clutch is better than the OEM replacement Exedy clutch disc. One is made by Exedy's OEM division, another is made by their aftermarket division.

About the damaged bumper, you have to find that before you leave. It would be really hard to prove the dealership did it since you took possession of your car before checking it out. The only way I foresee them covering anything is if you had someone who works there or a customer be a witness to the damage, but I doubt anyone that works there would come forward, and finding a customer that saw it would be slim to none.

I just got myself a set of OEM Exedy clutch including all bearings for 170 something. NOT BAD IMO.

I think stock clutch are pretty durable. my ACT clutch is chattering ATM so I have to change it out ASAP. (or maybe its the Fidanza Fiction plate wearing out, will see after I take everything apart)

well then i guess i have no choice but to accept my car the way it is, i think i've reached the point that i don't even care because of all the bad luck i've had with this car, it got smashed while i was asleep by someone i'll never find, it might as well have gotten damaged by the dealer now cuz i can't prove the damn thing so it doesn't matter.

Aside of that i recommend the exedy kit and mazdaspeed flywheel it really makes a world of difference. I finally got to take my car out last night and since I did got a motor replacement as well I haven't really driven it hard yet. But I do notice the difference.
