Agreed SP2 is cool - with a turbo it is not too too loud unless you get to WOT - but it doesn't drone for me.

Review this: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/rx-8-aftermarket-exhausts-summary-16442/
I got the Corksport Catback due to it's light weight.
The Racing Beat sounds almost stock

You cant compare an exhaust you hear on the computer to what it sounds like in real life. You gotta meet up with people and hear them for yourself to see what you really like. Remember that everyone has a different opinion on what is loud, raspy, sporty, deep, etc.

I hear the Borla exhaust is a good one though

I like the Mazdaspeed, and if you put a Hiflow Cat on it it will be loud.
I think it has a great sound. Come ride through a tunnel with me.

+1 for Borla - deep tone, loud when you get on it, quiet (no drone) when cruisin'

I have the Fujitsubo Legalis-R, It cost a bit more than the others (around 900-1000) but it is a very decent exhaust, not exactly "loud" though if thats what you are looking for, just thought i'd throw it out there.

I have found that there are bigger differences between designs than there are between companies.

i have personally owned a b&b exhaust and greddy sp2... and my friend has a mazdaspeed catback.

The mazdaspeed is the 2nd loudest of the 3 and it has a bit of a drone and even my friend agrees that he doesn't love the sound. But it is a solid sound, i just think it's preference.

I loved my b&b and it's the loudest of the 3. Once i had a racepipe on it, it was just ear bleeding loud (ask chrism or kelrx8 lol). It was loud idle, it was loud at 2k rpm... it was ridiculous at WOT. every car with alarms went off and at night when i drive down a nice street with houses side to side, the sound would just bounce off and wake up everyone.

So i sold it and got a greddy sp2. without a midpipe, it's so quiet IMO and only when you are WOT can you really hear it. I wanted to keep my racepipe for turbo plans in the future and even with it, it's not that loud but loud enough. There is a zone of some raspy sound from about 3200-4100 rpm (with the racepipe)but it's not so bad.

So i think it comes down to if you're gonna get a racepipe or not and how loud u want it to be... gluck!

MX193 will install his system next weekend. If you order one from ExoticSpeed, tell Justin Lin I sent you. It might help.

So did you just sell the race pipe or the whole exhaust chrism, and is it to loud for every day driving and does it have drone on the highway because i think that is the one that i like but i dont want it if you are saying it is way to loud basically, and if you did sell it what do you have now.

Cork sport has an anoying sound thats why everyone thinks it's the loudest.

Anyhow............. go to the forum section for your state area. Find some members and listen to it. You may have to travel 50 to 100 miles.

It's well worth it. Sound is subjective and nothing worse than buying it and the taking it off because you don't like it.

nah, it sounds great. it's just too loud and raspy with a racepipe. TOOOOOOOOO LOUD haha. let's just say, i was louder than a lot of funny cars at the racetrack. come on now..

w/out the racepipe, it's very acceptable for daily driver IMO and sounds nice.
