need info on going FI by pettit?

i need every bit of info i can get on the stage II induction system by pettit. How much is it for the entire system w/install ($6000-flat rate, sometimes more/less)? what do i need to buy before i get the system or do i need to purchase anything at all . ie exhaust, plugs, fuel management. also how reliable is the vehicle after it has been charged. what happens if i break down due to failure of system. will pettit send someone to fix or do i have to get the car towed 700 miles. I need as much info as you guys can give in 2 days .

I assume you've gone to their site? www.pettitracing.com
Have you read all the threads? I know these are ridiculous with all the crap that's in them, but I have had the advantage of reading them from day one when they were created. If you pick through them, just about all the info is there.

And............no I'm not an owner................yet.

your right i could get the info myself but i'm returning to iraq on sunday and i don't have much time to do the research myself. i can only use the net on mondays and it's really ******* shitty service. for now i plan on going N/A but that is subject to major change within the next week(wife).

Gotcha...............others will pipe in. I can tell you this much........There are some out there that have basically put it in otherwise stock 8's. By this I mean there is nothing special that you MUST do in order to get ready. You can argue or make a case for maybe better clutches, trannies, etc.................but you don't have to do anything that I am aware of.......unless I am forgetting something??????

Whoa!

Slow down Skippy. I highly recommend taking your time to do a whole LOT of research, think about what you really want to do with your RX8 and then decide. There are a lot of options/combination of aftermarket FI and well as NA modifications you can choose from. It all depends on your rotary engine/car knowledge, budget, ultimate goal, experience and so on.

Yes, I own a Pettit Racing Stage II SC RX8 but it really doesn't matter that much to me. I love rotary powered EVERYTHIN. From a lawn mower, motorcycle, airplane, surfboard, ultralite, boat, cart, race cars, to whatever. NA, turbo, supercharge, nitrous, intergalactic yu-yu fuel additive, ect.

Therefore, read, ask and all of the above

no worries there skippy i've been playing with the rotary for years. I stopped with the imports in 02 and switch to bikes till now. history with fd's consist of 2 moderate mod 93 and 1 fully mod 93 so i have a pretty good idea where i'm going. bike history consist of 1 fully built busa 500+ RWP gixxer1000 turbo(dec issue of sport ridder) and mine gixxer 750 lite mod(i just like dragging knees). as far as for NA nowhere near enough power i'm looking to get 275 that's it no more. as far as ulitmate goal i just want to have a little fun as for research i'm sure i'll be able to do enough after all i have 5 mth before anything will be done so no haste to get it done just haste to get info that will be limited severly in 2 days and not to mention making a phone call is out of the question. btw i'm still not sure if i am even going FI yet weighing the opinions

If it's a question on the Pettit s/c, I am also available. I have the first one shipped from pettit the fourth installed - Cam's car, Moon's car, Shinka's car was third but those three were installed at the Pettit shop - mine was installed by CRH.
