Most of the data seems to show that the stock airbox works just as well as the aftermarket ones. But others with more experience might chime in. Do a search on intakes, and you will find a bunch of info.

There is also a stock intake mod that can be done that will make more sound and frees up some power for some people. Do a search on intake mod and it should turn something up.

That's just the thing:you don't "need" an intake. The one you have works as well or better than any you can buy.

he wants the loudest one he can get.

here's a tip, hot glue a few kazoos in your current intake, and drill a few holes in the piping.

also nygps is right, the best intake is no intake at all. filters block airflow.

If you want the loudest, get the K&N. Don't expect any of them to give you a feelable gain though.

You're wrong for once RG.

Loudest would be no intake !

The K&N isn't exactly what I'd call an intake!

Youtube! I have found so many video/sound clips of different intakes on youtube. Just type in the name of the intake and RX8......you'll be amazed how many clips you'll find. :D
