Hello everyone, thank god for this place. If it wasn't for this site I'd be completly clueless. Now onto the question:
I'm planning on purchasing the greddy turbo kit, and from what I've seen the average hp is around the 240 range. Now some are more I know, but this is what I don't understand. How can these cars be producing more power if the e-manage is preset? From what I've read and heard greddy dosen't recommend boost controlers and fuel upgrades with this kit, if this is true then how are people running bigger injetors, fuel pumps, and boost controllers without damaging anything? PLEASE TELL ME!! :D I'm really am in-need of more than 240 hp, 260-280 now that sounds better (if possible).

Oh yeah and more thing, if I get the high flow mid-pipe won't I need tuning? Most likly right? If so, then once again; how is it possible if you can't tune a turbo'ed car using e-manage?

Welcome to the club. Greddy turbo kits do come "pre-set" but they have been all over the place. My kit came where it was only boosting 4 psi across the board. Initial power gain was 40 whp. We played with the actuator rod on the turbo & got 6 psi through the rev range & 4 psi on the top end. Got 52 whp from it at that time. Recently they played with the actautor rod again, also found some/fixed leaks & got 7.5 psi across the rev range with 6 psi on the top end. Also played with the Greddy Emanage map to lean it out a bit. Definitely feels more powerful, but the dyno near my mechanic was broken. You can play with the Greddy EManage map by getting the Greddy Support Tool Software & downloding the updated Greddy Emanage map floating around this website, and using your laptop. As long as you have proper fuel support you can use a boost controller to control the boost curve (getting consistent boost across the board vs. falling off on the top end) & increase the boost level. I have seen some people running about 8 psi of boost without upgraded fuel injectors or boost controller. Fuel pumps according to some knowledgeable posters is good to well past 300 crank hp. I think 260 whp is a realistic goal. I had a bad backfire problem from my SR Motorsports hi-flow cat. Tried to tune it out, while about 30% better it still wasn't good enough for me, so I just pulled out the hi-flow cat & put my regular unit back in. Now it drives like stock (no random backfiring).

so then I do have to tinker with the e-manage if i want a boost controller or fuel upgrades? Dragon motorsports in Miami FL, told me that in order to hold higher boost and more fuel there is no e-manage mods needed. Damn still confused.

No, you don't really need to tune the Greddy Emanage map, but it will probably help, as you can lean it out a bit & gain hp. If you do get a boost controller & injector you probably will want to adjust the EManage map. Do you have to ? probably not as Greddy made it very rich/very safe. Doesn't do much for hp though.
