New Intake And Car Dies

I've read all the posts on the intakes and it just tells about the ECU reset methods. I havent seen any posts about after installing the intake and when driving it dies at all stops. So far I just rev it a bit to keep it going but on the way home I forgot as I was turning into my apartments and it died as I began to turn. Someone help me please, I beg of you!

I'm guessing you either didn't install it right or you need 1 MAF screen in there.

I'd say you're probably on the nose with either of those.

Are you getting a CEL? I don't think it would cause your car to die, but did you rememeber to hook your MAF back up?

It's the Weapon-R intake and yes the MAF is in and yes I have a CEL. At first when I started it the dsc didnt turn off and the low traction light stayed on. After turning it off and starting again now the CEL stays on and everytime I stop RPM's drop and car dies.

if the maf is in correctly and there is ascreen in place before it, you have a vacuum leak. but i bet the cel is for low or high voltage on maf circuit which means your maf isnt in correctly or its now in need of cleaning. the other lights were because you disconnected your battery and needed to reset the dsc. read my sig

your dsc needs to be reset for one thing, and the other issues are probably maf related. turn your wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right (with key in obviously), that should fix the first deal, the other issues are probably install realted so I'd go through and make sure everything is clean, snug, and plugged in properly, after that take it up with whoever sold it to you, trade it in for one that's been proven if all else fails (AEM, Mspeed, Etc. etc.)

I have never ever heard this happen to anyone.... just unscrew the MAF and clean it dry first then use the carbon cleaner spray to wipe it down, put it back in and make sure it's screwed down properly.... Also i've never heard of weapon-R was it for an intake..... the most popular intakes are AEM/MS, REVi, HKS, K&N four our car...... weapon-r is brand new to me which is also why it might have caused you all these problems... well good luck

Sounds like Weapon R's R&D team needs to do a little more R'ing.

It could be small intake tubing. I've done it once before and got a smaller maf housing and mine kept dying. So just get 3.5" maf housing, disconnect battery for a few minutes. Put everything together and your car won't die and your cel will go off. Crap didn't relieze this was back in 06. Sorry
