New Intake installed

I Have 2004 6-speed rx8. I ordered a Weapon R(I believe, may have been some other rice brand) intake. It made my car drive like crap to be honest. It was installed correctly, but at high speed excpecially high rpms it would sputter. So I put the original back on and everything went back to normal. I ended up getting the K&N typhoon for Christmas. I was reluctant but, I installed it. The quality of the intake is great. They include a heatshield that actaully looks stock. The car drives great. You only notice the loud sounds at high rpms, and the car has noticably better pick-up in third gear. I am very happy and very impressed by this product. I started my car yesterday to warm it up with the intake installed and it was 6 degress out. My weapon r would have made the rpms go crazy and stall. I highly reccomend this intake.

Didn't you search the forum first and discover that intakes bear no benefit?

Always a smarta**

Yes, Douche, I did do many searches on many forums, and they all say that while not much, intakes have some benifit. Theres always a wise little shi* on every forum that gets his jollies out of making smart comments. You were probably that kid that told the teacher they forgot to give homework. You should go on a wrx forum and blast people for installing blow off valves. It will probably make you feel like a real man.

enjoy

Wow, I guess you have no clue who you are talking to and why I asked. Welcome to the Club. Congrats on wasting your money, Ricer.

REDSHEDEVIL, you know what I am talking about. I don't care if you make the dumbest comment ever on a forum. Why is there always that cocky *** that has to make that comment to make fun of you. I have been working on wrx's for a long time and I used to feel bad for the people that didn't know about them yet, cause they wpuld make a blow-off valve comment and, there was always a "Charles R. Hill" that had to say "look how much I know" in a smartass way, followed by a "Chtrickerman"to suck his ***** on every forum. All I am saying is can people just put there egos aside, or there sucking up, for a second and just help people.

Those who search will discover ways to derive similar benefits from their factory boxes and save money. They will also discover that if a guy wants bling and is aware of the lack of performance benefits thereof, I support their individuality. My preference is to help others be fully-educated on what works and what doesn't. Even if they call me a douche. Wonder powers, activate! Shape of.......a douche!!

Nope. The Holiday Hostility continues. Apparently, Sully has something bothering him if he inferred cockiness, ego, or whatever in my post. It is also apparent that he has NO CLUE the defenses I have offered many noobs and stopped others who were bashing them. Sometimes they were my own friends who were engaging in arrogance toward a new forum member and I lectured them for it. Since I wasn't born with a wrench in my hand I don't expect others to have been, either. Oh well...........

I still welcome psully to the forum no matter what he says to/about me.

Wow! Someone's got a serious attitude. Well............at least he can spell.

"Lighten up Francis"...........Ray's original question wasn't meant as derogatory or anything like that.
I predict you ain't gonna get much help with that attitude. And.............before you say "I won't ever need any help", better think again.

BTW........glad you like the intake a welcome to the addiction.

you really need to chill. charles is a VERY knowledgable person on here. he is also very calm and cool.

and as for helping you, you didnt ask a question, so how can we help you? if you met some of the other people on this forum, then you would quickly realize what im saying. but if you want to go ahead and keep being a *****, go right ahead. but you better be able to back up what you say
