first things first... drifting is the dumbest thing known to man, it is an outdated raceing technique that is much slower than grip racing (which our car is designed to do very very well). It is just popular because of an equally stupid movie
secondly...

So right now my mind is an open book. I just saw the turbo set up from the 3 rotor guy. I know abulutly nothing about cars except the track instructor loves me...lol. So whats worth while for the money??? Exhaust system ridding of the converter? Stock fuel enj can only go to 300hp? Coputers? gauges? chips??? Please help, where do I start.

Ok gonna have to say it again.....search...........
but just for a little quick help your not going to get the 8 drift ready with anything less than a turbo or s/c setup....that being said save your money for one (a good setup including everything can cost anywhere between 5-10 thousand depending on what you get and what options). You are also going to need a slur of supportive mods in order to compliment your FI setup.
And one last thing....if you havent done your research (which I am guessing you havent), the way our cars motor is designed you will not be able to get any real gains out of simple newbie mods such as exhaust or intake that you would out of a typical F-Body.
just save up and enjoy the car as it is now

this is the type of person that does not need more horsepower. if you know nothing about something then you have to research. if you want to know about a turbo go to a website that sales them for the car and look at the pictures. easy as that!

They have given you some good info if you rip out some of the junk posts. Look into a Cobb Accessport, and do an intake, midpipe, catback system, and ignition coils to start off. But seriously, you need to do your research and use the "Search" button. Good luck

I said look at pictures because if you look at pics of RX8 with cai or any intake for that matter you will see the location of the tubing and filter. Look at a pic of one with turbo and its a little different setup and the same tubing will not work. Typically when you buy a turbo kit it will come with all piping and intake, normally the only way you use an aftermarket intake with a turbo is if you do a custom setup (building your own setup)

the fact that your concerned about a cold air intake on a turbo tells me a few things...
you dont know **** about turbos or cold air. if you did you would realise that the CAI would only contribute very few HP to the entire turbo setup compared to ther things like tuneing, intercooler, boost...
you also didnt search for either things. and i hate you for it
you also seem to have more money than knowlage and the idea that whatever you come on here and ask people will be so willing to do all the dirty work for you.
come back with an educated question.
