newbie here

aight guys. i'm pretty much a no nothing when it comes to rotaries as far as performance goes. now i've been reading around about the tt kits available n such for the rx-8 and i'm curious. exactly how much horsepower can the renesis engine take before u have to do..i guess internal work to allow the engine to hold more power?

Ok, first off rookie, when u address a veteran in this forum u will do so by saying "SIR YES SIR!"...... Nah, i'm just busting ur *****, welcome to the community. I myself am new too, but i found that any rotory questions u have can most likely be answered by rotory god. Period. Thats it, thats all there is to it. Have fun. :p

Welcome! You've come to the right place. Here you can find just about anything and everything you may have wanted to know (and probably didn't want to know) about the 8's. As far as "ball busting" ,that's the initiation. Enjoy! :D

well first i think tt implies twin turbo. the turbo kits available or soon to be available are singles. second the limits that have been found SO FAR by owners have been air/fuel related. SSr has a dyno showing about 280hp to the wheels and they are going for 290+ but need to change injectors for more fuel. the only people who have found a "structural" limit would be the aftermarket companies themselves and i havent heard solid numbers from them. the company with seemingly the most engine on a dyno time that i know of is Racing Beat although i assume some others and race teams have also and probably found a limit. but i havent seen any number posted.

Greddy is a single turbo. You might be looking at an RX-7 kit...
