Newbs impression: Best mods are suspension and brakes?

I'm considering an 8 for my next car. I've been reading up on the car in this forum and researching the mods. My hope is to use the car as a daily driver, but to also do track days.

It seems like the best mods for the 8 are suspension and brakes. Maybe a new flywheel and clutch as well. Is that correct? All the intake threads seem to say that they add a few hp/trq if any at all. The exhaust threads seem similar. I've grown out of the loud and proud stage, but I'd replace the exhaust and intake if the power gains were respectable...

I have a racing beat exhaust and IMO it looks good and actually sounds quieted than stock (with a turbo at that!) Iv'e heard everyone LOVES the axial flow short shifter for a first mod

You will love the racing beat intake which has been proven to work.
You will love the racing beat exhaust.

First mods .... depends upon what you are planning on doing with the car.

HDPE is a good start.

You're on the right train of thought..
Sways, springs/shocks, lightened flywheel,Short shifter, intake, hi-flow cat, exhaust.

Brakes and suspension are great starter mods since you use them every day. I would have saved the money I spent on my intake and exhaust and gotten those taken care of first.
