NITROUS?????????Need some advice.

I have recently purchased an rx-8 and have a nitrous kit that was previously installed on the last car i owned and was wondering if i could install it on the rotary motor. Can these motors handle nitrous?I would be putting on a 55 shot.

From what I've read as long as it's a wet system you can run a 55shot with the stock ECU no problem, but if you want to go higher then you need something to pull the timing and prevent detonation.

There was a guy that did 75 on here with 0 modifications on his car. I believe Charles R. Hill told him that was possible, but that if you have other mods (ala air intake, cat back exhaust, hi-flow cat, Canzoomer, etc.) you can only do a 55 shot. Difference between running an extra 20 hp everyday (for example 180 whp to 200 whp everyday driver), with an occasional 55 shot when you need it vs. 75 shot when you use the nitrous.
