Nology spark plug wires & revi intake
Is it expensive to have aftermarket spark plug wires intalled, should I take to the dealer or strauss etc,,.. changing the spark plug wires has no issue with warranty right? which spark plug wires do people have on this tread?
ofcourse the intake has to be istalled by me or a mechanic in nj

Replacing the plug wires is easy...just remove them one at a time and hook up the new one in it's place...then the next...until all 4 are done. It helps if you have small hands..easier to get at the plugwires

I'll second what he said. Those things are a rip. The plug only takes the juice it needs to jump the gap. All it has to do is light the fire, after that nothing matters.
The multiple spark discharge has merit but I doubt it would have any effect on a street car. The Magnacore are good as any I have used but I'm not sure you even need to improve the stock ones unless your making more cyd pressure. IE forced induction.
Why would you even go there unless your having misfires?

If that q is for me then that is my opinion. No advantage to be had. You only need a hotter spark when there is more pressure for the spark to work in. Sane your money for the time someone comes out with a user freindly control box. The ones out there now leave to much to be desired. Someone will get a box for the masses sooner or later.
I know you want to help the performance for a small amount of investment but it isn't going to happen. From what I gather the only low cost item that contiues to get favorable responce from users is the light flywheel. Even that seems a high price but it does improve drivability.
The best bang for the buck is forced induction. Trouble with that is that it's a major expense and a big mod that voids the warrentee. Plus mine isn't out yet so don't buy one of the others.

I have REVI and the RB wires which I installed earlier this week. I too didn't notice any increase in performance (power) but, knock on wood, I have not experience an idle shutter since. Is it possible the idle shutter was caused by weak/bad plug wires?
