Yeah.. I think thats mainly everyones focus now.. All of the other parts are pretty much tapped out for people who have been modifying their cars now for a while..
Supercharger, turbo, headers..... Same for me.
Though thats not really who your targeting with this thread..
but anyway...

no, this is good to know if nobody is interested in whats available, new parts need to be created. So this brings me to the next problem, finding someone in the Phoenix area willing to have R&D done on their car (we would use one of 2 of the best fabricators in AZ one of which designed the turbo kit for Lisa Kubos Pro drag Saturn). The R&D would go something like this: first the header would get designed for the NA stock set up (this would take 1 to 2 weeks) then if the same person were willing or someone else we would then fab the turbo kit (3 to 4 weeks) the only problem I can conceive is that how is the renisis going to take to forced induction?

Headers by Charles Hill
Intake Manifold by Charles Hill
Pulleys by cortc
Mid Pipe by SR and CZ
Catback by RB
That leaves superchargers, big brakes, 4-point harness sets, roll bars, ecu/pcm maps, etc.

definately clutch and flywheel.
to bad I don't live in Pheonix, I would gladly give you my car for R&D, for a turbo kit.
Midpipe from Rotary Performance w/O2 fooler and bolt and gasket kit.
Carbon interior pieces, and carbon fender vents would be awesome.
Barke rotors, prefer same size as stock, along with 4 piston calipers.
Front lip from Rmagic.
Side skirts from Auto Bahn Sports.
Rear Bumper from AutoEXE.
Pulleys
Front strut tower bar from CP-racing.
and finally either ECU from Ric Shaw, or a turbo or twin screw s/c kit with Ric Shaw ECU.
Any or All of these would be great.

One word: gearing.
See if you can get with a good transmission shop and find out what's going out on the transmissions. A kit to beef up the gearbox would be cool, maybe even throw in an (optional) taller 6th gear. And/or a ring and pinion set for the rear end. I'm not even sure there IS a ring/pinion set out there yet come to think of it.
Granted, the transmissions only go out with extreme launches. But still...extreme launches on a bone stock car are necessary just to get the already modest numbers. And when people start putting on FI kits in the next year...there's going to be a market for tranny improvements, I'd imagine. (Did Ito ever solve his recurring problems with the transmission?) People are probably getting them fixed under warranty for now, so maybe this is more of a long-term project. Of course, once someone installs FI Mazda is going to void the drivetrain warranty...
If you had a gearset or whatever today, you'd have a monopoly...and then the next Miata is coming out in a couple years and will use the same transmission (err, I think).

As far as the clutch........
The reason I want the MS flywheel is because of the warranty issue.
If MS came out with a heavy duty clutch I would do both at the same time.....other wise I will do the flywheel and wait for the clutch to go...or start to go out.
With it being a new car....I want the tranny under warranty for as long as possible, and I think an aftermarket clutch could void it......but let me know if I'm wrong.
