Performance Software Upgrades

Performance Software Upgrades
Hi there,
I have a few questions about the way that the engine software works with the RX-8.
I see from browsing through the forums that there is software and equipment available that allows you to modify the engine management software, or to upload prepackaged revisions.
My question is though, are there retail performance software vendors that sell prepackaged software? I know from my readings on older BMWs that you can purchase brand name performance software upgrades to be installed physically via chip or uploaded through the OBDII connector. Does such software exist for the RX-8, for enhancing performance in a stock and/or slightly modified state (CAI, exhaust, etc.)? At least with BMWs, the performance software does things such as raise the redline, remove the speed limiter, enhance fuel timing, etc. to take full advantage of what the engine is capable of.
I'm not an RX-8 owner, but was just curious as I've been reading into them lately.

Well, as I was searching I kept coming across custom tuning threads, but didn't find a clear answer as to whether there was retail upgrades available like I'm used to. I found my answer here though.
