Well i just got back from Pettit racing and I was very impressed. For one there shop is clean and everything seemed in order not to mention i stopped in around 11am , so they had alot of stuff out, he even apologized for the mess. That may not mean alot to some people, but for me the first thing i look at is how clean the shop is before i trust them with my car. Then the test drive, wow! he took me for a ride in his S/C RX8 I was smilin the whole time and he never got it passed 6.5k there was to much traffic but i'll tell you one thing it just kept puttin me in the seat harder the faster we got. It idled smoother then my car and was very quite (except when he stepped on it) even had power when he stepped on it at 2.5k in 6th gear . All in all he told me about all the tuning issues they plus he also mentioned two things that caught my attention. One he still has the stock clutch and even after he thought he blew the motor twice it was only carbon build up on the apex seals after it detonated, he said he sprayed a cleaner in the ports and it started right up. Not to mention he drives it every day and has drove it to carolinas acouple of times. The kit is almost done. they plan selling it with a reflash kit they would make it easier for self install and would come pretuned. I had a great time i could of picked his brain all day but he was working brackets for the kit. If your in the area check them out.
