if the car is too rich seems like the intake may be restricting air. what intake did you put on?

Did you do MSP16 flash?

If yes,
maybe dirty MAF?
Or same as my problem, oil leaked into air cleaning chamber and flooded the stock air filter. Leaking was causted by careless tech that replace my oil and over filled it.

Could be the MAF.
Take it out and clean it (remember its the two wires inside the MAF housing, NOT the brown teardrop).
Then reset your PCM. Here is a link on how to do this:

Also, please mention what brand intake you installed.

You'll get better answers if you provide some more information. What year is your car, and what is the brand and model of the aftermarket intake you installed? What is the exact code for the CEL you're getting (not "something about gasoline")?

My first thought would be that your intake is causing turbulence which in turn makes the MAF get bad air flow readings.

yea, if it happened because of your intake it's probably the intake. unless you hampered with the maf somehow. you may want to check that too. need more info.

So what kind of crappy intake did you buy? If it's not an AEM, Mazdaspeed, Racing Beat or K&N forget it.
