I believe there are many RX8 owners who want to optimize their RX-8's potential either appearance or performance. Same here. I have been thinking of customizing my RX8 with a limited amount of budget step by step from day one. I do not want "over spend"; but so far I have thrown an extra $5K already, not included regular maintenance, on top of the RX-8.
In fact, there are really not many maintenance so far on RX-8 besides oil changes. I have changed oil twice myself since new at 2,800 to 3,000 mile interval. Besides, I upgraded transmission oil and differential oil at 5k miles with RedLine MT-90 for trans. & 75W90 for diff. Now I am running Royal Purple 5W20 motor oil in it.
The listed upgrades are my personal preference, not neccessary the best choice for other applications. I love the way it is right now. However, I might end up getting a full set of Mazdaspeed coilover set up in the future. Thus, I titled as "Project" and Aero Spec sounds cool, especially along with VR (Velocity Red) in suffix. Finally, the number one reason to get Mazdaspeed parts is under Mazda warranty. I do not have to deal with CARB legal issue in California. Have fun...
BTW, do you guys have MS coilover set up installed? Is it easy to adjust the ride height? Do I have to do alignment every time I adjust the ride height?

How do you like the Cobb AccessPort tuner? Does it create any idle issues, or drivability problems? Is the power increase noticeable? I am mostly interested in a little extra low to midrange power without forced induction yet.
Thanks,
Willie
