Quick MS intake question

I had my MS Intake for about 2 weeks now, now if anyone one that has one would like to answer this, I have misplaced the sock that goes over the filter while i was installing it, now from i think the filter should be alright for now but it will get dirty a lot faster that with the sock. Now new filter w/ sock is like about $250 at dealer, did i just make $250 screw up or am i good to run without it.
TY

I would not pay that, you can get a new intake for 300. I do not have an MS intake, but I would think that you can clean it. If you cant, I would just buy an AEM filter to replace the MS filter which you would be able to clean.

Just so you know AEM and MS intake systems are virtually the same thing.

its not that bad to run witout the sock. but if it does get dirty after a while you might want to clean it. you should try callin aem and askin them if you are able to juss buy the sock. maybe make one urself. hahah but do NOT pay 250 for the new filter wit the sock.

I have the MS kit. I think if you were to go to a fabric shop or a craft shop you may be able to find the same material and make it yourself. Ask your local dealer if you can take a look at it and feel it. Then go shopping, you could save yourself $240. Happy hunting.
