Quietest mid-pipe?
#76
I just installed a RB dual resonated midpipe today and i'm so surprised with how quiet it is. Same volume at idle and same volume at cruise but a little different tone -- i'd say it's a more mellow tone. The only time i really noticed it being louder was if i gave it the beans from ~4-6k. I dont think it was any louder from 6k-redline but it sounded nicer for sure. Overall it's a much more "full" sound without a huge increase in volume.
My girlfriend went for the test drive with me and she said that if i hadn't told her i installed a mid-pipe she didn't think she would have noticed.
I'm running an Exoticspeed R1-T cat-back BTW.

Sorry for the 3 year bump.
I currently have an exoticspeed RII exhaust and im pending on a Racing beat dual reasonated midpipe.
Now i basically want the exhaust note to hopefully be slightly louder, nothing crazy. Can Dual Reasonated midpipes actually make the exhaust sound quieter ?? Stupid question i know lol.
Or am i better off with a BHR midpipe .

I don't notice any sound difference between the stock catted mid-pipe and my MazSport DR MP which uses two of RB's resonators. Unless you count the popping at high RPM's when there is sufficient heat after some beating.
