Racing Beat = Amazing

Well installed my brand new RB dual resonated midpipe today, which is paired with my AP catback and i must say the exhaust is actually quieter then it was with the stock cat+AP catback. There is no more highway drone and the exhaust note is much lower. Quality looks solid and it had perfect fitment, and so far after 75 miles no CEL. It sounds amazing when hitting the high notes and the occasional 2 foot flame is a very nice touch.

Overall very satisfied and just wanted to give a shout-out to RB just in case anyone else is looking for a GREAT Dual Resonated Mid-Pipe at an affordable price.

The raw fuel was a very "fresh" smell lol but as of now my car would pass smog since in Texas we dont use the sniffers, just the OBD2 port.

does anyone know if one of those dual res pipes + turboXS causes drone or will it more or less work like you guys are describing your current setups?

The RB dual resonated midpipe should definitely cut down your drone significantly.

Currently, there are two options for sound reducing. BHR or RB.

BHR is still fixing a few things however for their pieces.

There is Corksport also. They are a long time friend of the rotary community.

For what its worth, the Racing Beat dual res pipe sounds as good if not better than the old mazsport dual res midpipe. . .

Both pipes give an amazing deep sound and removes nearly all the rasp from the rotary.

Mazsport is out of business, the racing beat pipe is made better, better welds, and cheaper than the mazsport. . .

This should be very easy.

If you want a loud, but deep done with very little drone... Racing beat is the way to go. Stay away from AP dual res for sure... others I can't speak of.

They're both resonators...

EDIT - Actually, I take that back, you're right, it's a cat behind the O2 bung hole.

Corksport makes a single res with cat (^pictured) and a dual res. I have their prototype dual res since September of last year.

Drone is almost like the "buzzing" or consistent exhaust note that you often get when on the highway staying at the same rpm for a decent period of time.

I plan on matching the RB dual resonated midpipe to my JIC Titanium Exhaust. Should be a match made in heaven!

Not just the highway. I would imagine almost every exhaust combination would have droning at some rpm; it just depends on where that sound gets shifted to. Stock gets it between 2k-3k, which is most of my low-key driving.
