racing beat

i was at racing beat today and talking with some of the head guys and when i brought up the chip gains and the exhaust gains that i have heard about in this forum all of them were laughing. they said the most out of the exhaust is like 10 hp from the cat back and a few horses from the header. but when i told them i saw reading 50-60 hp they said man who is feeding them this crap, and 25 hp out of the chip yeah right.

Cool Read it and weep, BeatBoys!

You would think that a company with a thirty year Rotary history would keep up on the latest news. They had really not heard of Canzoomers kit? Pitiful.

This week I have an appointment with Mr. Maurice and his dyno, and will be 'SuperSizing' the StageI to a StageII!

Even bought a digital video camera for some sound clips of before (Borla, no chip) and after (Borla, StageII, midpipe/resonator). Well that's the plan anyway, you know how these things often go off the rails......

'Film at eleven!':D

I recognize that! VVVVVV

Please point to any posts that ever claimed 50-60hp from the exhaust. The highest I know of is a Greddy with the RP midpipe claiming 21hp. That is slightly off from 50-60hp.

Cool Exhaust?

My post was referring to the 'Zoomer Stage II chip and midpipe - 50+ horsepower, no problem.

Have you not heard of it either?

Re: racing beat

You misread.

WHat I think you are referring to is Canzoomer's stage II which REQUIRES replacing your entire exhaust and will get you 50-60hp. Not that the exhaust replacement alone gives you 50-60hp.
