Hey out there:
How about an exhaust manifold I can bolt a bigger turbo on?
Anyone? Anyone?
I got the GReddy kit. I'm not fond of the turbo location, and I imagine you can't do much in that space for putting in a bigger turbo. I know MM has an upgrade kit, but I'd like see a manifold so we can put that turbo where we want, and use the one we want.
How about a header that turns up? Somebody needs to make it. The rest of the piping can be fabricated anywhere.

PHP, Greddy, Mazsport, and Esmeril all have turbo manifolds. I believe PHP and Esmeril are top mounted in the engine bay. Mazsport has top mounted and one for the same location has Greddy I believe.

Like I said, I just want to make sure It's not one of those things that "you get what you pay for"...Granted, RB was asked by Mazda to make the 20b for the Furai, and apparently people say RB makes Mazdaspeed parts...etc etc..That's great. But again, difference in terms of Fujita..RE Amemiya, etc. When all those Japanese companies have RX-8 battles and everything...do you ever see a RB RX 8 or RB RX 7 against them? I really don't want to hear the excuse "OMG they don't wanna fly to Japan" or "they don't have the money to"... If anything, it would be in their best interest to go to Japan and compete, because it's advertising, and racing in Japan is friggen HUGE. Again.. not bashing RB at all, but I just want to know what the deal is.

you never have to worry about the quality of a racing beat product, they make some of the finest quality aftermarket parts you'll find...I've been buying items for my rx7 from them for many years and now parts for my rx8. out of all the items I've purchased from them i never found a better product then what they provided and i never even have to do research when thinking about buying an item from them because you know its going to be top notch, especially there exhaust items....i digress

Denny estimates that it will be about 8-9whps,,, Once I recover from the hole in my pocket that the SC has put there I m gonna get one prob before the end of the year, Ill try to do a dyno run before and after install...

They had their own renesis on an engine dyno doing actual testing where others were just putting a cone filter on a stick for intakes and putting a fart can on a stick for an exhaust. They were one of the first shops to put out flywheel dyno numbers showing the Renesis actually made much less than the rated hp numbers.

I guess I have slight fanboiism for RB, I trust them very much as their market is so small, they only have a few cars. Sure the japanese tuners may actually race their cars but when it comes down to the r+d as well as price vs outcome I tend to side with racing beat on the header option.
I guess the fact that one can directly email racing beat with any questions (methods of development, why this vs that, etc) and get a very timely response with clear answers instills trust.

once again- on a zero overlap engine --standard type headers will not show very much if any gains on a na car. the sound will be nice and RB quality is excellant--but dont expect much more than say-- an RB intake gives you. Taking the cat off will give you more. Still headers sound cool.
